Here’s the thing about date night.
It doesn’t have to be so complicated. Date night doesn’t have to be dinner and a movie. It doesn’t have to cost a lot of money, require a reservation, or a sitter. It doesn’t even have to be at night! Date mornings, afternoons, or midnights are just as nice.
Date night, at it’s best, is when two people make the time to connect, find a respite amidst the whirring world, and remind each other of the good amidst the crazy.
Sometimes, it’s nice to have a little help getting to that place. You can think of my notebook as a library of prompts to help you connect with your person, and make time for something out of your ordinary. I hope you flip through and find something you enjoy!
Most of what you’ll find here doesn’t require you even leave home if that’s not an option, it won’t cost much money, and it won’t take much planning on your part. Also, it usually includes snacks.
Look for something new on Tuesdays. Or better yet, I’ll keep you posted with the fresh arrivals — because as it turns out, not only do I design date nights, I write emails too. So get on that list, friend!
I’m Annie Liao (rhymes with meow). Lover of maps, museum tours, and tree squirrels. Believer in underdogs. Not easily bored.
I am a Date Designer and a Creative Consultant that helps people add a little sparkle to their celebrations and momentous occasions.
In 2006 I created my first date-in-a-box for some friends, and since then have been in the business of curating opportunities for people to connect and remember the good stuff in life. (Something I’m convinced we all need a little extra of, now more than ever.)
I live in Los Angeles with my husband Nick.
I’d love to hear from you! Email me anytime at datenightenotebook{at}gmail{dot}com, and find me over on instagram.
